CALLBOY SOEST
If you happen to meet Callboy Soest on the first Wednesday after All Saints' Day, Soest will be completely turned upside down. There's hustle and bustle everywhere you look. That's because the All Saints' Fair is being celebrated, not in a separate square, but throughout the entire city center. But Soest has plenty to offer at other times too. For example, you can admire the Westphalian Last Supper in the Wiesenkirche (Church of Our Lady of the Meadows). The stained-glass window depicts a Last Supper with Jesus Christ, but the wine and bread have been replaced by a pig's head, Westphalian ham, schnapps, and beer.
Later, we stroll along the city walls, enjoying our time together. With a glance at the wonderful transformer stations decorated by graffiti artists, we bid each other farewell as we head into the night.
