CALLBOY HAGEN
First, a visit to the Osthaus Museum with the Karl Ernst Osthaus Collection, but also paintings by Christian Rohlfs, Emil Schumacher, and much more. Then, out to the LWL Open-Air Museum Hagen – Westphalian State Museum for Crafts and Technology. Here we'll learn a great deal about baking, brewing, printing, milling, papermaking, and much more. After a culinary refreshment, we'll continue on to the "cave."
The Blätterhöhle (Leaf Cave) is a section of a large rock cave that can still be explored today. Here we can see some of the oldest fossils of humankind, dating back to 10,700 BC. Finally, we'll take a look at Werdringen Castle. Here we'll go back in time even further and can admire the remains of insects that lived here 318 million years ago.
