CALLBOY ERLANGEN
Above the Bergkirchweih festival grounds, Callboy Erlangen will show you the park with the enormous sculptures by the artist Heinrich Kirchner. At the top of the slope on which the park is built, you have a view over the Schwabach Valley and the old town. Beautiful. Just as unspectacular as the climb to the hillside is the exterior of the baroque Margrave's Theatre. Inside, however, we gaze in wonder. It's fascinating that Erlangen took in fleeing Huguenots in the 16th century, who shaped the city and its history. And this influence is still felt in Erlangen today. People from over 150 nations, including more than 30,000 students, live in this city. Now that's what I call cosmopolitan.
Summer is at its best in Erlangen. That's when the Erlangen Castle Beach springs up on the castle square. We lie in deck chairs on the artificial sand and enjoy the sun and delicious cocktails.
